Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information PrepWorx LLC ("PrepWorx", "we", "us") collects when you visit prepworx.com, use the PrepWorx client portal (app.prepworx.io), or use our prep, fulfillment and related services, and how we use and protect it.
Information we collect
- Account and contact details: your name, business name, email address, phone number, addresses and Discord ID, when you sign up, contact us or use our services.
- Inventory and shipment information: the products, quantities, shipments and service requests you send us or create in the portal, and the records our warehouse team creates while handling them.
- Billing information: charges, invoices and payment history. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
- Marketplace connections: if you connect a marketplace account (such as Amazon Seller Central or eBay), we receive access credentials from that marketplace and the data needed to provide our services, such as listings, inventory, shipment plans and orders. For orders we fulfill for you, this can include your customers' names and shipping addresses.
- Website and usage information: basic technical data such as pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected through cookies and analytics tools when you visit our website.
- Communications: messages you send us by email, live chat, Discord or the portal.
How we use information
- To provide our services: receiving, prepping, storing and shipping your inventory, creating marketplace shipments, and fulfilling orders on your behalf.
- To run your account, bill for our services and process payments.
- To communicate with you about your account, shipments and our services.
- To keep our services secure, prevent fraud and fix problems.
- To understand how our website is used and improve it, including measuring our advertising.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Marketplace data
When you connect a marketplace account, we use the data we receive only to provide the services you ask us for, such as showing your orders and inventory, creating shipments, and shipping orders. We do not sell marketplace data or use your customers' information for marketing. Your customers' names and addresses are used only to ship their orders and are not kept longer than needed for that purpose and our records.
You can disconnect a marketplace at any time in the portal under Settings → Integrations, or from within the marketplace itself (for example, in My eBay or Seller Central). When you disconnect, we stop accessing that account.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our services:
- Service providers that work on our behalf, such as cloud hosting (Google Cloud and Firebase), payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, shipping carriers and label providers, website analytics and advertising (such as Google and Cloudflare), live chat, and Discord for client communication.
- Marketplaces you connect, when you ask us to act on your behalf, for example creating shipments or sending tracking information.
- Legal reasons, when required by law or to protect our rights, our clients or others.
- Business transfers, if PrepWorx is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar tools to remember your preferences, measure traffic and measure our advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings and the cookie notice on our website.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide our services, then as long as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes. Marketplace access credentials are deleted when you disconnect the marketplace or close your account.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls and storing marketplace credentials where only our servers can read them. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- You can update your account details in the portal or by contacting us.
- You can change which emails you receive under Settings → Email notifications.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by contacting us. Some records may need to be kept for legal, tax or accounting reasons.
Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
